So, I’m on HSX.com and I’m looking through the recent IPO’s. Just like a real stock market, commodeties have to have an IPO and start trading. Well, today, this movie appeared – The Chaperone. It’s made by WWE studios and stars Triple H. Now, from what I’ve seen in their movies before, all these movies really are is a lame attempt at making more money off their biggest star. There’s nothing wrong with that. More power to them. However, I’ve also noticed that most WWE movies are just an excuse to string together a whole bunch of random action sequences with someone similar to a plot. However, this plot is usually so thin that if you sneezed you could blow a whole in it…and the movie producers have allergies.
Now, the official write-up is:
The drama The Chaperone is about an ex-con who tries to rekindle his relationship with his daughter by being a chaperone on her class trip.
I’m going to go out on a limb her, but I’m guessing that some of his old friends want to go back to what they were doing before he got thrown in the klink. He isn’t too fond of the idea, because he came out of prison a changed man. So, they try to get back at him by going after his daughter. So the only way to protect her is to go through a series of car chases, shoot outs, and explosions.
There are exceptions to this rule. A new movie starring John Cena is coming out, where he’s the big bro of a guy who wants to become a school wrestler. Before this guy was incarerated, he was a wrestling champion, but the little brother is a 90-lb weakling. So, while there SHOULDN’T be too much action, there’s no guarantee they won’t throw in a chase sequence or explosion just for gits and shiggles.
